The famous blue aerogel, now in cylinder form!  Classic Silica Aerogel Cylinders are an ideal shape for numerous applications including dessication and molecular adsorption, strength testing, optics, miniature structures, and more.  Density is ~0.095 g/cm³.  Hydrophilic surface chemistry.

Hydrophobic Silica aerogels are specially formulated to repel water and to not absorb moisture from the air.  Where Classic Silica tends to shrink and cloud in humid environments, Hydrophobic Silica retains its transparency and integrity.  Floats on water without damage!  Excellent for applications involving absorption of hydrophobic substances such as oil.

For serious applications demanding silica aerogel, Classic Silica Aerogel Tiles fit the bill.  About the size of a playing card, these tiles are big enough to shield against open flames.  Useful for advanced optics, particle detection, and adsorption applications.  Great for  demonstrations and extreme engineering projects!  Density is 0.095 g/cm³.  Hydrophilic surface chemistry.
