Great for gifts, science projects, and display. Density is ~0.095 g/cm³, meaning these aerogels are an incredible 96% air by volume!  Hydrophilic surface chemistry.

Classic Silica Aerogel Blocks have a square cross-section, flat surfaces, and sharp edges for applications where round shapes just won’t do.  Great for experiments involving optics and projects where parts need to be mounted or tiled.  Top side of the block may be slightly curved.  Density is ~0.095 g/cm³.  Hydrophilic surface chemistry.

Aspen Aerogels’ Spaceloft^® is a flexible aerogel composite blanket designed for insulating buildings and apparel. With a thermal conductivity of 14 mW m^-1 K^-1, Spaceloft is approximately two and half times better insulating than Styrofoam^®. Great for home insulation, winter clothing, science projects, and any application where thermal insulation is needed and space is at a premium.
