Carbon Aerogel monoliths from Aerogel Technologies are electrically-conductive aerogels composed of amorphous carbon. Useful for applications where both a high surface area and electrical conductivity are desirable. With a mean pore size of ~25 nm, these aerogels provide plenty of pore volume for inclusion of active materials and for facilitating mass transport. Ideal for use as electrodes in supercapacitors and ultracapacitors, batteries, and desalination filters. Excellent supports for high-temperature heterogeneous catalysis. BET surface area is approximately 700 m2 g-1. Density is ~0.2 g/cc. Dimensions are ~1.0 cm x 0.4 cm.
