Production Time for Special Samples

Note on occasion certain samples may take additional time to produce due to stock constraints or backlog of orders, however this will be noted on the product entry when checking out if this is the case. Please take production time into account when using standard shipping. By ordering these samples, you understand that the shipping will occur on either the 1st or 15th of the month after the time indicated for production has passed.

Standard Shipping (Within the United States)

We offer an inexpensive ($5 for every 10 items) standard shipping and handling by first-class mail option for customers not in a rush to get their materials. Samples shipped by this method ship twice a month – on the 1st and the 15th – meaning if you order on the 30th of the month, your samples will ship on the 1st of the next month. If these days fall on a weekend, your sample will be shipped on the first following business day. Same day orders will be shipped the following shipping day. Grouping our shipments like this is how we can provide high quality samples to you at an affordable price.

Faster Shipping (Within the United States)

Of course we know you probably can’t wait to get your aerogel, for example, because you put your science/engineering class project off until the very last minute and need your aerogel NOW.

So just for you we have a number of different faster shipping methods available. With these methods your sample will ship within 1 business day of placing your order. Prices below (USD) are listed for number of items ordered.

International Shipping

Yes, we ship internationally! Please recognize that there may be customs holds that could delay your shipment longer than the times listed below, but there’s nothing we can really do about that. Prices below (USD) are listed for number of items ordered.

Return Policies

If you’re a fan of aerogels, you know that they’re fragile! BuyAerogel.com takes every precaution to ensure safe shipment – bubble mailers, foam padding, and plastic casing will protect your sample as it ships to you. However, we cannot provide a guarantee that monolithic samples will arrive intact. Also, we cannot guarantee aerogel granules or blankets are uncontaminated if returned. For this reason, we cannot currently offer a return, refund, or replacement for your damaged sample.

If you need to make sure your sample does not break, you may purchase shipping insurance when you add the item to your cart.
